Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced ZLD Process & Design Engineer to lead the process and detailed engineering of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems and other wastewater treatment solutions such as ETP, STP, WWT, and ZLD with MEE/MVR/RO technologies. The role involves conceptual design, detailed engineering, equipment sizing, process optimization, and project execution from basic engineering through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Process & Basic Engineering

• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and mass & energy balances.
• Define design basis, plant capacity, and operating philosophy for ZLD/ETP/STP systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and pilot plant trials for technology validation.
• Prepare heat & material balance, hydraulic calculations, and control philosophy.

Detailed Engineering & Design

• Perform detailed equipment sizing and selection for evaporators, crystallizers, RO, clarifiers, MEE, MVR, filters, pumps, and piping systems.
• Prepare and review datasheets, specifications, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Develop piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models in coordination with mechanical, piping, electrical, and civil teams.
• Support preparation of tender documents, BOQs, cost estimation sheets, and technical proposals.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes (ASME, IS, TEMA, API) and statutory environmental norms.

Project Execution & Support

• Review and approve vendor drawings and engineering documents.
• Provide technical clarifications during procurement and vendor evaluation.
• Support site team during installation, testing, commissioning, and performance guarantee runs.
• Conduct process troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and optimization of operating ZLD plants.

Documentation & Quality

• Prepare Design Basis Report (DBR), Operating Manuals, SOPs, and Commissioning Guidelines.
• Maintain all engineering registers, records, and revision control for drawings and documents.
• Ensure design quality checks, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments are conducted.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: 5–10 years in ZLD, ETP, STP, or wastewater treatment projects with detailed engineering exposure.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Process design of MEE, MVR, evaporators, crystallizers, RO, UF, and ancillary systems.
• Familiarity with process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID, MS Office, and 3D modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of IS codes, ASME standards, and environmental compliance norms.

Key Competencies

• Strong capability in detailed engineering and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Hands-on experience in ZLD commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and client interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
