About The Opportunity

Healthcare — Multi‑speciality Hospital & Patient Care Services sector. We are hiring an on‑site Public Relations Officer (Hospital PRO) to join a busy multi‑speciality hospital in Amritsar, Punjab. This role sits at the intersection of patient coordination, hospital administration and external stakeholder liaison to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient experience.

Primary Title:

Public Relations Officer (Hospital PRO)Role & Responsibilities
  • Manage front‑desk patient admissions, registrations and discharge formalities—ensure accurate documentation, billing handoff and timely bed allocation.
  • Act as the primary liaison with government departments, municipal authorities and external agencies for licensing, NOCs, medical certificates and statutory submissions.
  • Maintain and audit medical records, discharge summaries, death certificates and medico‑legal files ensuring confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies.
  • Coordinate with clinical teams, diagnostics, billing and housekeeping to expedite investigations, procedures and patient transfers.
  • Handle patient enquiries, grievances and family communications—triage escalations and follow up to resolution with empathy and professionalism.
  • Support PR activities including visitor coordination, hospital events, media interactions and basic content requests for external communications.

Skills & Qualifications

Must‑Have
  • Relevant diploma/graduate qualification with proven experience in hospital PRO, patient relations or front office operations.
  • Fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and functional English with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and MS Office for record keeping and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of medical records management, medico‑legal documentation and basic billing workflows.
  • Experience liaising with government departments and handling statutory submissions (NOC, licenses, certificates).

Preferred

  • Exposure to NABH/Clinical Establishment compliance processes or quality documentation.
  • Prior experience in a multi‑speciality hospital environment in North India (Punjab region) and existing local contacts with civic authorities.
