Private Credit Analyst

Role & responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Analytics

• Oversee performance and risk across the company's loan portfolio, including construction, bridge, and permanent debt products.
• Design and maintain portfolio-level

  financial models

  , dashboards, and analytics to monitor asset quality, performance, and profitability.
• Evaluate credit performance and proactively identify areas of risk and opportunity across the portfolio.
• Develop and refine

  loss mitigation

  risk management

  strategies.

Financial Modeling & Investment Analysis

• Build and maintain detailed

  financial models

  and

  proformas

  to evaluate project- and portfolio-level performance.
• Calculate key investment metrics such as

  IRR

  under various market and structural scenarios.
• Prepare

  credit memos

  and deal summaries for investment committee and institutional investors.
• Analyze complex deal structures, covenant packages, and borrower performance metrics.

Reporting, Data & Process Automation

• Enhance portfolio reporting and investor deliverables through automation, analytics, and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Python preferred).
• Continuously streamline and standardize internal credit and reporting workflows to support scale.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Capital Markets, and Operations teams to improve data integrity and decision-making.

Investor & Capital Markets Support

• Partner with institutional investors (e.g., insurance companies, asset managers, Wall Street firms) on portfolio performance, risk insights, and reporting.
• Contribute to investor presentations, marketing materials, and quarterly reporting packages.
• Support ongoing communication with investors, demonstrating strong analytical rigor and professional presence.

Strategic & Organizational Contributions

• Champion a data-driven, team-based culture focused on transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Drive insights that inform capital allocation, pricing, and portfolio optimization.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on internal systems, data pipelines, and credit processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• MBA or masters degree in finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
• 37 years of experience in private credit, real estate finance, investment banking, or asset management.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling, valuation analysis, and portfolio analytics.
• Experience preparing credit memos, evaluating underwriting assumptions, and working with institutional investors.
• Strong understanding of IRR, DCF, leverage, and capital structure modeling.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, think critically, and work collaboratively across functions.
• High degree of intellectual curiosity, integrity, and initiative.
