Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Ghaziabad for a Printing Supervisor. The Printing Supervisor will oversee daily print production activities, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow. They will manage and guide the print team, monitor the printing and finishing processes, and address any operational challenges to meet production deadlines. The role requires effective communication and adherence to company standards.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Production Supervision

• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily printing operations on sheet metal printing machines.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met.
• Coordinate with the planning, tool room, and maintenance departments for smooth workflow.

1. Machine Operation & Maintenance

• Supervise operation of offset or coating machines (such as Mailänder, Crabtree, or similar).
• Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.
• Ensure regular cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance of machines.

1. Quality Control

• Inspect printed sheets for color registration, shade matching, coating uniformity, and defect-free finish.
• Ensure adherence to customer specifications and internal quality parameters.
• Report and rectify any non-conformance in coordination with the QA department.

1. Material Handling

• Verify availability of correct inks, varnishes, and raw sheets before production.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of printed sheets to avoid mix-ups.
• Minimize wastage and monitor ink and chemical consumption.

1. Team Management

• Supervise and train operators, helpers, and support staff in the printing section.
• Allocate work, monitor attendance, and maintain discipline among team members.
• Encourage safe working practices and compliance with company policies.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily production reports, rejection records, and machine downtime logs.
• Record color matching data and job setup parameters for repeat orders.
• Support management in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all safety norms and PPE compliance in the printing area.
• Monitor proper disposal of chemical waste as per environmental guidelines.
