Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Software Engineer (remote). The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include back-end web development, programming, and implementing object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to create efficient and scalable systems.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Computer Science and Software Development
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Programming
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 12+ years shipping production code at startups or tech companies
- Expert in Node.js or Python + modern frontend (React preferred)
- AI implementation experience: You've built with OpenAI/Claude/Gemini APIs, vector DBs, or RAG systems
- Open source contributions: Active GitHub profile with real contributions (not just forks)
- Technical writing: Blog posts, documentation, or technical articles you've written
- Builder mentality: Side projects that show you code beyond work
