Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Software Engineer (remote). The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include back-end web development, programming, and implementing object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to create efficient and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Computer Science and Software Development
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Programming
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 12+ years shipping production code at startups or tech companies
• Expert in Node.js or Python + modern frontend (React preferred)
• AI implementation experience: You've built with OpenAI/Claude/Gemini APIs, vector DBs, or RAG systems
• Open source contributions: Active GitHub profile with real contributions (not just forks)
• Technical writing: Blog posts, documentation, or technical articles you've written
• Builder mentality: Side projects that show you code beyond work

Technical Stack

• Backend: Node.js/Python, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, Redis
• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Tailwind/CSS
• AI: LLM APIs, Langchain/LlamaIndex, Vector DBs
