About the Role

We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in Node.js and React to lead complex product builds and mentor a team of engineers. You’ll be joining a dynamic environment with a startup-like culture, working directly with our Irish clients on mission-critical applications.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who still enjoys coding but also excels at architecting systems, guiding teams, and driving technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture, system design, and product development efforts
• Mentor and guide engineers through best practices, code reviews, and pair programming
• Oversee complex backend and frontend development in Node.js and React
• Set coding standards and enforce software quality metrics
• Act as the main technical liaison for Irish clients
• Collaborate with DevOps, product, and design teams to ship reliable, scalable features

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in full-stack development
• Expert-level knowledge in Node.js and React
• Experience in designing large-scale applications and leading engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Experience with microservices, API design, and modern development pipelines
• Startup mindset – fast, proactive, and solution-oriented

Nice to Have

• Experience in Python or other backend languages
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps workflows
