Principal Senior Technical Officer

As the Principal Senior Technical Officer at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, your role will involve providing technical leadership and supervision to the instrumentation team. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading and supervising the instrumentation team to ensure effective maintenance, repair, and operation of instruments related to Life science, Basic science, and Engineering research. - Overseeing the procurement, installation, calibration, and maintenance of instruments for the common Facility, including reviewing and renewing CMCs and AMCs to ensure they are in good working condition. - Providing technical support to research groups in preparing specifications and procurement processes, training users for the operation of instruments, and preparing SOP. - Identifying opportunities for instrument upgrades and modernization, and implementing plans to ensure the instrumentation facility remains state-of-the-art. - Developing and implementing training programs for instrumentation staff to keep them up to date with the latest technologies and techniques. - Collaborating with Deans and HODs for Lab renovation/Modifications and installation of new equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the instrumentation team, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development, as well as managing the instrumentation budget effectively to ensure the smooth operation of instruments and the team.
