We are seeking a Principal Data Engineer to serve as both a hands-on technical leader and a trusted advisor to our enterprise customers. This role will require working directly with client stakeholders in India and the Middle East to understand their most pressing data engineering challenges and design, implement, and optimize solutions that unlock business value.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in modern data platforms with strong consulting, problem-solving, and communication skills to bridge business needs and technical execution.
Partner with enterprise customers to understand their business objectives and data engineering challenges.
Architect, design, and implement modern data pipelines, data platforms, and cloud-native solutions.
Provide hands-on leadership in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, and performance optimization.
Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on best practices for data engineering and platform adoption.
Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and consulting teams to ensure seamless delivery of client solutions.
Drive technical discussions and workshops with senior stakeholders across India and the Middle East.
Ensure solutions meet scalability, reliability, and compliance requirements.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building organizational capability in client solutions engineering.
7–10 years of experience in data engineering, solution architecture, or related technical roles.
Strong expertise in modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse).
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT design, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
Strong understanding of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with enterprise clients in BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, or Telecom domains.
Exposure to real-time data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD for data solutions.
Prior experience in client-facing consulting or pre-sales engineering roles.
Certifications in cloud platforms or data technologies.
