Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pricing Manager Ocean Freight to lead and optimize the pricing strategy for our ocean freight business. You will be responsible for managing rate setting, margin control, and profitability across key trade lanes while collaborating with sales, operations, and carrier partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Pricing Strategy: Design and implement competitive yet profitable pricing models for FCL, LCL, and special cargo shipments.
- Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, carrier rates, fuel surcharges, and capacity to adjust pricing dynamically.
- Rate Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and spot rates with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and carriers to maximize margins.
- Margin Management: Ensure profitability by maintaining healthy margins on all quotes and shipments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, documentation, and finance to align pricing with business goals.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate daily/weekly pricing reports, variance analysis, and insights for senior management.
- Process Improvement: Streamline pricing workflows, reduce TAT, and improve accuracy of quotations.
