Job Summary:

Pre-Sales Consultant

The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solutioning & Technical Consultation

  • Understand client requirements, business processes, and pain points to propose suitable solutions.
  • Design and articulate technology solutions aligned with client needs, leveraging the companys products, services, and platforms.
  • Prepare detailed solution architectures, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Collaborate with delivery and engineering teams to validate feasibility, scope, and cost estimates.

2. Client Engagement & Presentations

  • Participate in client meetings, discovery sessions, and workshops to gather requirements.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, proof of concepts (PoCs), and technical presentations that clearly communicate business value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by explaining complex technical concepts in simple business terms.

3. Sales Enablement & Bid Support

  • Partner with sales teams throughout the sales cycle — from lead qualification to deal closure.
  • Develop customized sales collateral, solution decks, and proposals.
  • Support RFP responses, bid management, and proposal defense presentations.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities based on client needs.

4. Market & Technology Awareness

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Provide feedback from the field to help shape product roadmaps and service offerings.
  • Maintain deep expertise in specific domains (e.g., Cloud, AI, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, ERP, or Digital Transformation).

5. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Collaborate with internal teams — sales, delivery, marketing, and product management — for solution alignment.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge repositories, case studies, and reusable assets for pre-sales engagements.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Business/Technology Management.
  • Certification in relevant technology domains (e.g., AWS/Azure Architect, Salesforce, ITIL, PMP).
  • Experience with RFP/RFI response tools or bid management.
  • Exposure to specific industry verticals (Banking, Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Experience with tools like MS PowerPoint, Visio, Miro, or similar solution design software.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent storytelling and client engagement abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and consultative mindset.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear business outcomes.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to solutioning.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and attention to detail.
