Job Description: Hardware Engineer- Power Electronics
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and Verification of Electronic hardware (PCBA)
Schematic Creation, Lay outing at Single layer and Double layer, 3D Model, Gerber Generation and managing ECR (engineering change note)
Develop Hardware for Single phase induction motor, BLDC motor, PMSM, SRM selection and application
Peer to Peer Design Verification and Validation
AC-DC power converter design up to 60W, PFC converter, DC-DC Converter, Dimmable- CCT LED Driver, MCPCB for LED
MCU interface circuit design
Coordination with vendor for component arrangement, Prototype making, Prototype validation and corrections.
Overseeing the manufacturing process of electronics components to ensure they meet the design specifications.
Product BOM creation with appropriate selection of components and version control.
Testing hardware prototypes and analyzing and interpreting performance data.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing errors and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications
Performing DFMEA for new products.
Product compliance with standards and regulations as necessary.
Identification of new technologies and Benchmarking of competition product/ best practices followed in industry.
Development of products as per agreed timelines, performance, safety, quality, cost.
Resolving design and manufacturing related quality issues observed during pilot lot.
Value engineering through innovative designs.
Technical Skills Required:
Hands on at PCB Software: OrCAD/Protel/Altium/ KiCad,
Sound Knowledge of AC-DC/DC-DC, PFC converter design, active passive component selection, PMIC selection/application, gate driver, MOSFETs , Diodes, Op-Amp etc.
Sound Knowledge of LEDs selection, MCPCB and Dimmable Driver Design
Sound Knowledge of Magnet (Transformer) and Heat Sink Design
Knowledge on ICT, Testing Zig Point for PCBA testing
Exposure on Digital MCU selection, interface circuit design, logic circuit design, test case
Understanding of PCAB reliability methodology
Prefer to have Metering measurement Design circuit knowledge
Knowledge of H/W design requirements from EMI/EMC, THD and international standards
Prefer to have basic knowledge on BLDC motor algorithm, position, current sensing, sensor less control etc.
Design and simulation of Power electronics, Analog and Digital circuit design, PCB design.
Well versed with circuit analytical instruments, e.g. CRO .DSO, logic analyzer, Power supplies, function generator etc.
Well versed with measuring instruments and photometry.
Functional Skills Required:
Sound knowledge of New product development process / steps.
Sound knowledge of Design concepts/ component properties / manufacturing process.
Hands on PCB assembly and soldering.
Processes: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Stage- Gate NPI process, Design Changes, Innovation etc.

Work Experience & Educational Requirements:
Should have 3~12-years experience in electronic hardware
Good knowledge in Hardware designing
Candidate from good industry having rich experience
Prefer to have industry experience in Motor control / LED Driver / Home Appliances.
Should have good track record of work stability.
M.Tech /BE / B. Tech in Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation Engineer.
