Job Description

The PMO Analyst for Cybersecurity Projects supports the Cybersecurity Project Manager and project teams by providing project governance, documentation, reporting, and process standardization. This role assists in ensuring that cybersecurity projects are executed efficiently and in accordance with established methodologies, organizational policies, and compliance standards. The PMO Analyst collaborates closely with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to facilitate smooth project operations, maintain project documentation, and track project metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computers, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a project support, PMO, or project coordination role, preferably within cybersecurity or IT.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and technologies (SIEM, EDR, SOAR) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Skills Required

Technical Skills

  • SIEM (Splunk): Lead deployment projects, ensure system resilience, integrate critical data sources, and enhance detection capabilities.
  • EDR (Microsoft Defender): Manage endpoint security deployments, coordinate protection policies, and improve response visibility across endpoints.
  • SOAR (Palo Alto XSOAR): Oversee SOAR workflows, optimize automated playbooks, and integrate with security platforms for efficient incident resolution.
  • SOC Setup: Plan and execute SOC implementation, including infrastructure, team, tool setup and monitoring frameworks, ensuring compliance and scalability.
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) to track tasks, manage resources, and deliver timely progress reports.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Assist Cybersecurity Project Managers in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and documentation.
    • Support the tracking and reporting of project progress, risks, issues, and deliverables using project management tools.
    • Prepare and distribute regular project status updates and dashboards to stakeholders.
    • Maintain project documentation repositories, ensuring version control and accessibility.
    • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, record minutes, and track follow-up actions.
    • Assist with resource allocation tracking and project budget monitoring.
    • Support compliance with project management standards, organizational policies, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer and lessons learned documentation post-project completion.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and best practices.
