Job Title: Plumbing Design Engineer Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu / Remote employment available Employment Type: Full Time Experience Level: Entry to Mid Level Industry: MEP / Building Services / Construction Engineering About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in designing plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and/or industrial buildings, ensuring code compliance, sustainability, and efficiency in design. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, vent systems, and specialty systems (e.g. medical gas, compressed air). Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules using AutoCAD/Revit and other design tools. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, HVAC, and electrical teams to ensure fully integrated building services. Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to validate design and support construction. Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, standards (UPC/IPC/NFPA), and green building practices. Provide support during bidding, procurement, and construction phases including RFIs, submittal reviews, and change order evaluations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 1+ years of experience in plumbing design engineering (preferably in building services or MEP consulting). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and relevant calculation software (e.g., HASS, Pipe Flow Expert). Familiarity with plumbing codes (IPC/UPC/NFPA) and sustainable design standards (LEED/GREEN).
