Job Summary:

PL/SQL & ETL Database Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex

    PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers

    , and scripts for data processing and reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain

    ETL processes

    for extracting, transforming, and loading large volumes of data across multiple systems.
  • Work closely with business analysts and banking stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
  • Optimize and tune existing SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and ETL workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Perform data validation, data cleansing, and data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of banking data.
  • Monitor daily ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to database structures, data flows, and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with application developers and other teams to support integration and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with banking security standards and data privacy policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in database development using

    Oracle PL/SQL

    .
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing

    ETL pipelines

    using tools like

    Informatica

    ,

    DataStage

    ,

    Talend

    , or custom ETL frameworks.
  • Strong SQL query optimization and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets, complex data models, and data migration projects.
  • Good understanding of

    banking domain concepts

    such as Core Banking, Loans, Deposits, Payments, or Regulatory Reporting.
  • Experience in version control (Git/SVN) and working with Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
  • Knowledge of additional databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, RBI norms, etc.).
  • Experience working with cloud data services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.).
