Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior PL/SQL Developer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development. The ideal candidate will support database development, optimization, and integration efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
Optimize existing SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performanceSupport database-related development tasks across various applicationsAssist in resolving database issues, including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistenciesWork on system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs where requiredCollaborate with application developers and business analysts to gather requirements and ensure proper database design
Assist in scheduling and monitoring batch jobs and reports
Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in coordination with technical teams
Work under guidance to manage database configurations and support ongoing enhancement projects
Required Skills:
2+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling
Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization
Basic knowledge of API integrations (REST/SOAP)
Exposure to Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
Good problem-solving and debugging skills
Willingness to work in client-facing roles and support onsite teams
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with reporting tools like BI Publisher, Oracle Reports, or similar
Basic understanding of Java or any scripting languageExposure to enterprise applications or integration projectsWillingness to participate in system upgrade or implementation efforts under guidanceFamiliarity with job scheduling tools like Autosys, Control-M, or cron
