Software Test Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester (Manual + Automation) to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, with strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

You will work closely with developers, analysts, and implementation teams to ensure that every release meets our high quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze functional and technical specifications to create detailed test cases and scenarios.

Perform manual testing (functional, regression, integration, and UAT).

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium / Postman / JMeter.

Identify, record, and track bugs through appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA).

Validate backend data using SQL / Oracle queries.

Support continuous integration and testing processes.

Collaborate with the development and product teams to ensure quality deliverables.

Prepare test documentation, including test summary and defect reports.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.

Experience in both manual testing and automation scripting.

Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Java / Python scripting, or similar automation frameworks.

Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman / Rest Assured).

Good understanding of SQL / Oracle databases for backend validation.

Familiarity with JIRA / Bugzilla or other defect management tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience testing banking / financial applications or Oracle FLEXCUBE modules.

Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.

Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
