Position: PLC Automation Engineer

Location: Chennai

Employment Type: Full-time | On-site

The PLC Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and maintaining industrial automation systems. The role involves close collaboration with project, electrical, and commissioning teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of automation projects.

·       Design, develop, program, and test PLC-based automation systems

·       Develop and modify PLC logic, HMI, and SCADA applications

·       Perform site commissioning, troubleshooting, and system optimization

·       Integrate automation systems with field instruments, drives, motors, and control equipment

·       Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues

·       Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and project specifications

·       Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as control philosophy, I/O lists, backups, and as-built drawings

·       Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and OEMs during execution and commissioning

·       Support system upgrades, modifications, and preventive maintenance activities

• Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation

• Knowledge of SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial networking

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics of automation systems

• Understanding of industrial electrical systems and process control

• Exposure to robotics integration and advanced automation is an advantage

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering

Prior experience in industrial automation projects or manufacturing environments is preferred. Experience in pharma, steel, cement, automotive, or process industries will be an added advantage.
