Job Title: Plant Head – Wire Manufacturing

Current Location: Faridabad, India
Work Location: Senegal (West Africa)
Experience Required: Minimum 10 Years in Wire / Cable Manufacturing Industry

Overview:

The Plant Head will be responsible for leading the entire plant operations of a steel and aluminium wire manufacturing unit, ensuring production efficiency, quality assurance, manpower management, safety and cost optimization. The incumbent will oversee all functions from raw material procurement to finished goods dispatch, driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with company and statutory norms.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end plant operations, including production planning, wire drawing, annealing, galvanizing and quality control.
Ensure production targets are met within defined quality standards, timelines and cost parameters.Oversee manpower management, technical training, and performance evaluation for all plant staff.Implement Lean Manufacturing and preventive maintenance systems to reduce downtime and improve productivity.Coordinate with R&D and quality teams to enhance product specifications for steel and aluminium wires of 0.4mm to 15mm size.Monitor plant efficiency through KPIs such as OEE, yield and energy consumption.Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, statutory regulations and ISO/EMS standards.Prepare and manage plant budgets, monitor cost control and maintain inventory levels efficiently.Collaborate with procurement, finance and sales departments to align production capacity with business demand.Drive process improvement, technology upgradation and automation initiatives to enhance production capability.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Wire Manufacturing / Cable Industry.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of process control, wire drawing, annealing and stranding operations.
• Good communication and decision-making ability.
• Willingness to relocate to domestic & international.
