Key Responsibilities:

Knowledge & Legal Compliance

  • Ensure clarity on legal permissions and NOCs.
  • Consult experts to avoid legal penalties.
  • Maintain product issue logs and industry trend awareness.

Customer Requirements

  • Collaborate with Business Development and NPD to define product deliverables.

Conceptualization & Planning

  • Oversee site layout, machinery, utilities, and consultant engagement.
  • Guide SOPs, budgets, safety policies, and operating plans for all departments.

Execution & Monitoring

  • Ensure clarity and compliance on SOPs, budgets, reports, safety norms, and plans.
  • Monitor deliverables and guide corrective actions.

New Product Development

  • Understand customer-specific requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and guide NPD through all development stages.
  • Manage NPD budgets and communication.

Project Execution

  • Adhere to project roles, timelines, budgets, and SOPs.
  • Report progress and seek support as needed.

Organizational Culture

  • Promote performance, quality, cost consciousness, and safety.
  • Empower employees to report lapses and uphold standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Update SOPs post-issue resolution.
  • Train teams regularly and ensure succession planning.
  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations.

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate relations with legal bodies and customer representatives.

Business Planning & Budgeting

  • Propose annual operational plans.
  • Contribute to budgeting, monitor variances, and control costs.

SOPs & MIS

  • Ensure SOP documentation and compliance.
  • Optimize SAP usage and MIS design.
  • Analyze data and communicate insights.

Communication

  • Ensure timely, role-appropriate communication of goals and updates.

Quality & Safety

  • Define and monitor quality systems.
  • Enforce safety policies and review regularly.

Housekeeping

  • Ensure compliance in equipment, data, and infrastructure maintenance.

Key Result Areas (KRA) & KPIs:

Plant Profitability: Ensure PBT target

Revenue Generation: Minimize deviation in customer delivery plans

Revenue Assurance: Budget variances (Operations, NPD, Admin, Wastage %)

Efficiency: Revenue per person

Compliance: Statutory/legal/taxation deviation

Industrial Relations: Work disruptions due to IR issues

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience

    : 15+ years in manufacturing, 3+ years as Plant Head
  • Education

    : BE Mechanical or DME (with 5 extra years), MBA/DBM in Operations Management

Skills & Knowledge:

Managerial

  • Budgeting, decision-making, cost control, planning, problem-solving, delegation

Technical & Industry Knowledge

  • Automotive systems, manufacturing processes, Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, Kaizen, 5-S
  • SAP, Microsoft Office, technology appreciation
