Plant Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a Plant Accountant, who are pivotal to managing financial operations at the plant level. This role involves overseeing accounting activities, cost management, and month-end closing to ensure accurate financial reporting. Who will collaborate closely with production, stores, and procurement to maintain compliance and deliver timely management information systems (MIS) reports. Success in this role is marked by precise reporting, effective cost controls, and seamless cross-departmental coordination.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate plant-level accounting, including daily transactions, journal entries, and ledgers.
• Oversee product costing, BOM verification, cost variance analysis, and support cost optimization.
• Manage month-end closing activities—reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and reporting.
• Handle Capex accounting, asset creation, capitalization, and monitoring of project expenses.
• Coordinate closely with production, stores, purchase, and operations for timely and accurate data flow.
• Prepare and review MIS reports, cost sheets, inventory reports, and monthly financials.
• Monitor inventory accounting, RM/WIP/FG valuations, and conduct stock audits with the plant team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and statutory audit requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, and track actual vs. budget performance.
• Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements for better cost control and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Plant management: 6 years (Required)
• Accounting: 6 years (Required)

Language:

• Tamil (Preferred)
• English (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CA Inter certification (Required)
