Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Core Cost Accounting

1. Maintain cost ledgers, project job books, and WIP valuations aligned to SAP and Stores records.

2. Reconcile project-wise material issues, returns, and consumption with Stores and PPC.

3. Record actual in-plant processing and outsourced job costs as per received bills and job status.

4. Assist in preparing monthly plant-level cost summaries and audit-ready cost reports.

5. Coordinate with the Finance Controller for internal MIS, statutory audit, and cost audit compliance.

6. Validate that inventory valuation, job closing, and part returns are accounted in line with accounting standards.

7. Prepare reconciliation reports for raw material yield, rework scrap, and cost build-up by stage.

10. Highlight discrepancies in material usage, project kit mismatches, or part-wise cost overruns.

11. Track WIP status with PPC to ensure aged projects are correctly accounted for and flagged for review.

12. Assist in identifying the financial impact of flow disruptions blocked kits, late returns, or re-fabrication.

Responsibilities Outside the Scope of This Role

• Does not forecast or estimate project cost supports with historical actuals only
• Does not make project or outsourcing decisions, but flags cost deviations for others to act
• Does not inspect parts, plan schedules, or supervise jobs, but maps cost to actual execution
• Does not design quotation formats or pricing, but ensures financial truth behind assumptions

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Com / M.Com / CMA / CA (Inter)
• 3–6 years of experience in cost accounting in manufacturing or project businesses
• Familiar with SAP, Excel dashboards, and project-based accounting logic
• Able to reconcile material flow, track real vs. planned consumption, and support audit trails
• Strong documentation, discipline, and follow-up mindset
