Planning Engineer

We are looking for an individual to develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using specialized software. The Planning Engineer will track project progress against the baseline, identify potential delays, analyze critical paths, and produce regular reports. This role is crucial for supporting the project management team in making informed decisions and ensuring the project is completed on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

MS Project

·   Prepare the baseline schedule and get it approved by the client and management.

·   Monitor and update the project schedule on a daily and weekly basis by collecting progress data from the site execution team.

·   Prepare and circulate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including S-curves, critical path analysis, and look-ahead schedules.

·  Analyze deviations from the baseline schedule and identify the causes for any delays.

·  Assist in preparing delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.

·   Prepare resource histograms (manpower and machinery) and monitor their deployment against the plan.

·   Coordinate with all departments, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure their schedules are integrated into the master plan.

Key Skills Required:

MS Project

·  Strong understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM).

·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·  Ability to interpret construction drawings and understand project sequencing.

·  Good communication and report-writing skills.

Qualifications Required:

·       B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering.

Experience Required:

·       3 to 5 years of dedicated experience as a Planning Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
