Reporting To SCM Head / Commercial Head / COO / WTD (as applicable) Role Objective Set up and run RBMs end-to-end Stores + Inventory + Logistics governance across multiple EPC sites—ensuring material availability, stock accuracy, zero leakages, fast logistics movement, clean documentation, and strong control systems (ERP + SOP driven). Key Roles & Responsibilities A) Central Stores Governance (RBM 2.0 Systems) Design and implement standard Stores SOPs for all sites: Gate entry Inward inspection GRN Binning/Tagging Issue Return Scrap Stock count Create standard formats : MRN, GRN, Issue Slip, Return Note, Scrap Note, Tool Issue/Return, Stock Register, Daily Inward-Outward, Weekly Verification. Define minimum/maximum levels , reorder points, safety stock norms (critical consumables & spares). Implement maker-checker controls and approval matrix for issues, transfers, write-offs, and scrap disposal. B) Inventory Accuracy, Control & Reconciliation Drive inventory accuracy site-wise: cycle counts, monthly physical verification, variance analysis. Control and monitor consumable norms (electrodes, filler wires, gases, grinding/cutting wheels) with planned vs actual tracking. Implement material reconciliation : Client free-issue / returnable items Subcontractor-issued materials Project-wise consumption vs billing/supporting Control dead stock / slow-moving items; ensure transfer/redeployment across sites. C) Site Stores Operations Oversight Ensure each site store is properly staffed and disciplined: Store In-charge, storekeepers, helpers, inventory controller. Audit sites on: Documentation completeness Stock arrangement & binning FIFO compliance Tagging & traceability Housekeeping and safety Set and monitor site store KPIs and weekly reviews with site teams. D) Logistics & Transport Management (Central Control) Manage and optimize logistics: truck planning, routing, dispatch priorities, transporter rate contracts , loading/unloading coordination. Ensure timely movement of: Fabricated spools/structures from workshop to site Scaffolding materials Tools & tackles / equipment Consumables and urgent shutdown requirements Control costs: demurrage, detention, multiple handling, emergency freight. Ensure document compliance: E-way bill, LR/consignment note, delivery challan, weighbridge slips , gate passes. E) Tools & T&P / Returnable Material Control Create tool accountability system: Welding machines, grinders, gas cutting sets, torque tools, lifting tackles Issue-return register, custodian mapping, periodic verification Control returnable gate pass movements and inter-site transfers with proper approvals and acknowledgement. F) Scrap, Surplus & Disposal Control Create system for scrap generation, segregation, weighing, storage, and disposal approvals. Prevent leakage: scrap reconciliation with cutting lists, issue slips, and recovery registers. G) ERP / Digital Control & Reporting Ensure every site runs on ERP/Excel discipline: PR/PO linkage with GRN Batch/heat no. where required Item master standardization Prepare central dashboards: Inward/outward summary Inventory value & aging Critical shortages & stock-out risk Site variance report Logistics performance (OTD, pending deliveries) Consumable consumption vs norms Preferred candidate profile
