Role Objective

Key Responsibilities

1) Quality System & Planning

• Establish and implement

  QMS/SOPs/Checklists

  across piping, structural fabrication & erection, equipment erection, shutdown works.
• Review client specifications and finalize

  ITP/QCP

  , inspection formats, WIR/RFI processes.
• Coordinate

  WPS/PQR/WPQ

  compliance (as applicable) and ensure welding quality systems are followed.

2) Site QA/QC Execution & Control

• Lead site QC teams (piping/structure) and ensure adherence to approved ITP hold points.
  
• Ensure quality checks for

  fit-up, welding, dimensional & alignment, bolt torquing, erection tolerances, painting/coating (if applicable)

  .
• Drive daily/weekly inspection planning and clearance to avoid work stoppage.
  

3) NDT / Testing & Traceability

• Plan and coordinate

  NDT (RT/UT/MT/PT)

  through approved agencies; ensure timely reports and closure.
• Ensure

  weld traceability

  : joint numbering, weld maps, welder ID trace, repair rate control.
• Manage

  test packs / hydrotest / pneumatic testing documentation

  (as per scope).

4) NCR, Rework Reduction & Client Interface

• Lead NCR management: issuance, RCA, CAPA, closure with client/PMC.
  
• Act as single-point quality interface for

  client inspections, joint walkdowns, punch clearance

  .
• Implement rework reduction and repeat-defect prevention programs.
  

5) Dossier / Handover Documentation (Billing Linked)

• Ensure timely compilation and submission of dossiers:

  MTCs, IR/WIR, NDT reports, calibration certificates, test records, as-built records

  , etc.
• Maintain

  Dossier Tracker

  and ensure approvals to avoid payment holds.

6) Audits & Capability Building

• Conduct internal quality audits at sites and vendors/subcontractors.
  
• Train QC engineers/inspectors on RBM formats, client standards, and documentation discipline.
