Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement quality assurance plans for piping and structural components based on project requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to establish quality objectives and performance criteria. Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections of piping and structural materials, components, and installations to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and destructive testing as necessary to assess material integrity and performance. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance documentation. Generate quality reports and metrics to track project performance and identify areas for improvement. Supplier and Contractor Management: Evaluate and qualify suppliers and contractors based on their quality management systems, capabilities, and performance history. Monitor supplier and contractor activities to ensure they meet quality requirements and contractual obligations. Quality Control Procedures: Develop and implement quality control procedures and work instructions for piping and structural installations. Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality control best practices and procedures. Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action: Investigate quality issues and non-conformances to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in quality assurance and control processes. Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance overall project quality and performance. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure all quality assurance activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
