Job Title: Planning & Billing Engineer

Experience: 8 – 10 Years
Industry: Industrial Projects (Warehouses, Factory Buildings, Canteens, Utility Structures, etc.)
Location: Gummidipoondy
Reporting To: Project Manager / Head – Planning & Billing

Job Purpose:

To handle project planning, monitoring, and client billing activities for industrial construction projects, ensuring timely completion, accurate progress tracking, and proper cost control in line with project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera / MS Project.
• Develop work breakdown structures (WBS) and monitor project progress against baseline.
• Plan resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) in coordination with site and procurement teams.
• Update and maintain project dashboards and progress reports periodically.
• Identify project delays and prepare recovery plans.

2. Billing & Documentation

• Prepare client bills (RA bills) as per contract conditions and certified progress.
• Verify subcontractor bills based on site measurements and work completion.
• Ensure timely submission and certification of bills from client/consultant.
• Maintain joint measurement records (JMRs), deviation statements, and reconciliation sheets.
• Support commercial and accounts teams for bill submission, follow-up, and payments.

3. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with project, design, and procurement teams for schedule adherence.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and collect billing data.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management review.
• Participate in client review meetings and highlight progress status and billing issues.

4. Cost Control & Analysis

• Track material consumption and compare with budget quantities.
• Analyze productivity and prepare cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Assist in preparation of variation claims and extra item justifications.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualification: B.E / B.Tech – Civil Engineering
• Experience: 8 to 10 years in Planning & Billing for Industrial / Factory / Warehouse projects.
• Software Skills: Primavera / MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel (Advanced), Quantity Take-off tools.
• Knowledge: Billing procedures, rate analysis, BOQ preparation, and contractual documentation.
• Traits: Detail-oriented, analytical, and good in coordination and documentation.

Compensation:

As per industry standards and based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
