Placement Coordinator

As the IEEE WIE (Women in Engineering) Placement Coordinator for a duration of 12 - 15 months, your role will involve collaborating with corporates, HR leaders, and industry partners to create placement and returnship opportunities. You will be responsible for mapping the skills requirement specific to engineering job openings across the country and managing relationships with beneficiaries of returning women engineers and scholarship students involved in IEEE India Philanthropy initiatives. Your tasks will include providing capacity building, mentoring, guidance, and handholding support to the returning women engineers and engineering students. Additionally, you will coordinate and project manage the WIE program, ensure completion of soft skill and technical training for women engineers, and organize HR events, workshops, conclaves, and conferences to promote Women In Engineering. Career counseling, job readiness sessions, and representing IEEE India Philanthropy at various platforms will also be part of your responsibilities. Continuously innovating to enhance the employability of women in engineering will be crucial, along with undertaking any other assigned tasks by IEEE India Philanthropy. Qualifications: - Graduate or Postgraduate with 1-2 years of experience in HR placement; knowledge of social issues is an added advantage - Willingness to travel extensively within project locations - Dedication to working with a not-for-profit entity to promote technology for humanity - Strong written and communication skills in English and Hindi; proficiency in any two local languages will be advantageous - Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in HR, corporate relations, talent acquisition, or workforce development - Proven track record in establishing and leveraging corporate connections for hiring, placements, or partnerships Please note that this position is based out of Bangalore, with required travel to project locations across India.
