Job Title: Piping Stress Engineer  


Location: Kochi

Job Type: Full-Time  

Reports To: Senior Piping Engineer / Piping Stress Lead  

Experience: Fresher


Job Overview:  

We are looking for a Piping Stress Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is open to fresher candidates who have a strong understanding of piping stress analysis principles. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of CAESAR II software and a fundamental understanding of industry codes and standards.  


Key Responsibilities:  

- Perform or assist in stress analysis of piping systems using CAESAR II to ensure compliance with required codes, standards, and project specifications.  

- Evaluate stress, displacement, and flexibility of piping systems under thermal, pressure, and seismic loads.  

- Work closely with the piping design team to recommend necessary modifications to piping layouts, supports, and anchoring systems to maintain system integrity.  

- Ensure compliance with relevant piping codes (ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.8, etc.) and industry standards.  

- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, structural, etc.) to integrate piping stress analysis into overall project design.  

- Prepare stress analysis reports, calculations, and documentation for project approvals.  

- Participate in design reviews and work with the team to resolve stress-related issues.  

- Conduct thermal expansion studies, fatigue analysis, spring support analysis, and vibration analysis under supervision or independently based on experience.  

- Support troubleshooting and resolution of stress-related issues during the construction and commissioning phases.  


Required Qualifications: 

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.  

- Knowledge of CAESAR II software is mandatory for both freshers and experienced candidates.  

- Freshers with a strong understanding of piping stress analysis principles are encouraged to apply.  

- Strong understanding of piping codes (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.1, B31.8) and stress analysis principles.  

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  

- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) to collaborate with team members and present analysis results.  

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
