Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure web applications across the full stack using PHP (Laravel / CodeIgniter) and React.js / Next.js, with experience in Python or Java considered a plus for automation or integration tasks.

● Take full ownership of assigned features or modules — from database design and backend logic to frontend implementation — ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery aligned with product goals.

● Architect, implement, and document clean, modular, and maintainable code with strong focus on performance, security, and scalability.

● Build and integrate RESTful APIs, manage efficient database interactions, and ensure seamless communication between backend services and frontend interfaces.

● Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and DevOps engineers to translate requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.

● Contribute to architectural decisions and CI/CD workflows, supporting automated build, testing, and deployment processes with Git-based best practices. Work within an Agile environment, using tools like Linear for sprint management and Slack for cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth communication and timely feature delivery.

● Continuously improve system performance, troubleshoot issues, and adopt emerging tools or frameworks that enhance engineering quality and efficiency

Skills/Qualifications:

● Strong hands-on experience in backend development using PHP (Laravel – latest version, CodeIgniter), with experience in Python considered a plus for automation, integrations, or API-based microservices, applying best practices of MVC architecture, ORM, and modular service design.

● Skilled in RESTful API development, implementing authentication (JWT/OAuth), secure communication, and scalable backend logic integrated with MySQL / PostgreSQL databases for optimized performance and reliability, with familiarity in NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and knowledge of Java adding value for distributed or cross-platform applications.

● Expertise in frontend development using React.js and Next.js, with solid understanding of component-driven architecture, state management, and API-driven interfaces.

● Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design, with ability to translate Figma or design prototypes into production-ready frontends following modern UI/UX best practices.

● Advanced proficiency in Git and Bitbucket, including branching strategies, code reviews, and release management, with hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), containerized deployments using Docker, and collaboration with DevOps engineers for automated build and deployment processes. Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Cloud Front) and basic Linux administration is an added advantage.

● Strong analytical and debugging ability, with focus on root-cause analysis, performance optimization, and preventive fixes to maintain system reliability.

● Demonstrated capability to take full ownership of feature delivery — from database schema to frontend interface — ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes aligned with team goals.
