Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead and drive the pharmacy distribution software program, focusing on B2B pharmacy distribution, trade, retail business modules, and integration with vendors. The role requires deep understanding of pharma distribution processes, inventory, invoicing, sales, pricing, discounts, multi-location management, and vendor integration to translate business needs into software solutions and ensure successful implementation and adoption.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders across pharmacy distribution, Curtis, Kauvery hospital supply, retail pharmacy, and JV vendors to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), use cases, workflow diagrams, and user stories aligned with pharmacy distribution and pharma software..
  • Collaborate with software development teams to design and deliver modules covering invoicing, stock management, sales orders, pricing, discount options, and multi-location functionalities.
  • Drive integration requirements and coordinate with JV distributor vendors for seamless data synchronization (stock, invoicing, sales).
  • Validate delivered software against requirements through rigorous testing (functional, regression, UAT).
  • Support change management and training activities to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new systems among Kauvery hospitals, pharmacies, and external clients.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues related to software delivery, and propose corrective actions.
  • Act as liaison between business users, product owners, and technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Analyze market trends, vendor products, and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements or new capabilities.
  • Support documentation of compliance and audit requirements within the software.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in pharmaceutical software, healthcare IT, or distribution domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy distribution workflows, ERP systems, inventory management, sales order processing, invoicing, and pricing models.
  • Experience with B2B platforms, multi-location inventory management, and vendor integrations.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
  • Ability to translate complex business processes into detailed functional requirements.
  • Experience coordinating UAT, software testing, and deployment activities.
  • Knowledge of pharma compliance, GST/e-invoicing standards is an advantage.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.


Preferred:

  • Experience working with Retail Software platform or similar pharma ERP systems.
  • Exposure to integration standards (APIs, EDI).
  • Understanding of hospital supply chain processes.
  • Prior experience in leading cross-functional software implementation projects.
