The opportunity  
As a member of our People Consulting (PC) retirement actuarial team, you'll be part of a dedicated group of professionals serving a diverse range of U.S. and global clients. Our team is known for its technical depth and service delivery excellence, which sets EY apart in the industry. When you join as a Senior Manager, you play a crucial role in our mission to create a better working world. The Senior Manager will serve as the highest-ranking actuarial team member in India, leading a team of ~15 managers, seniors, and staff supporting U.S. retirement plan engagements. This role blends technical expertise with proactive people leadership, engagement oversight, and strategic coordination with U.S. counterparts. Youll play a key role in driving quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.  Key Responsibilities 
 People Leadership & Development  
  • Lead and mentor the India-based actuarial team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee technical development plans, ensuring team members are progressing in actuarial competencies and certifications.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career growth.
  • Promote team engagement, retention, and professional development through coaching and recognition.

  •  Engagement Leadership  
  • Provide responsive and proactive support to U.S. client teams and internal EY stakeholders.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of actuarial services for U.S. retirement plan engagements.
  • Drive efficiency and timeliness in project execution, balancing workload and resources effectively.
  • Monitor and improve engagement metrics such as turnaround time, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

  •  Coordination with U.S. Leadership  
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the India team and U.S. leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities, expectations, and strategic goals.
  • Participate in regular leadership meetings to share updates, insights, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate on staffing, training, and process improvements across geographies.

  •  New Business Development  
  • Support proposal development and pricing for new client opportunities.
  • Contribute actuarial insights and India team capabilities to business development efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and add value to existing clients.

  •  To qualify for the role, you must have  
  • 12+ years of U.S. actuarial retirement experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing actuarial teams
  • Relevant credential such Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA), Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Enrolled Actuary (EA)
  • Deep expertise in ProVal and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural collaboration skills
