The group manages high-acuity cardiac units, advanced imaging suites, and interventional cath-labs dedicated to neonates, infants, and children with congenital or acquired heart disease. Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead outpatient and inpatient evaluation of congenital and acquired heart diseases across neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Perform and interpret 2D and 3D echocardiograms, fetal echocardiography, holter monitoring, stress studies, and cardiac MRI reviews.
  • Conduct interventional procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, device closures, and balloon valvotomies in compliance with NABH and IAP standards.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary pre- and postoperative care with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, anesthetists, and nursing staff to optimise outcomes.
  • Educate families on disease management, nutrition, medication adherence, and long-term follow-up to foster shared decision making.
  • Mentor residents and fellows while driving clinical audits, CME sessions, and paediatric cardiology research initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have
  • MD or DNB Pediatrics plus recognised Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology.
  • Active MCI or State Medical Council registration for clinical practice in India.
  • Minimum two years post-fellowship experience in a high-volume tertiary centre.
  • Hands-on proficiency in echocardiography, paediatric catheterisation, and PICU protocols.
  • Ability to make rapid, evidence-based clinical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication in English and at least one regional language.

Preferred

  • Exposure to ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and hybrid cath-lab OR workflows.
  • Peer-reviewed publications or conference presentations in paediatric cardiology.
  • Experience implementing EMR, HIS, and quality improvement projects.
  • Basic data analytics skills for outcomes research and registry management.
  • Participation in outreach camps or tele-cardiology programs.
  • Leadership involvement with paediatric cardiac support groups or NGOs.
