Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities: - Calculate and process timesheets, seniority lists, ensuring accuracy and compliance - Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other internal teams to maintain transparency and alignment of practices - Offer clear communication and advice to employees, managers, and other partners in a responsive manner - Investigate and resolve document discrepancies, such as timesheets, to ensure accuracy - Identify opportunities for process improvement, supporting efficiency and continuous enhancement Qualifications: - Hold a two-year diploma (Bachelors degree preferred) in Accounting, Business, or related discipline; a combination of education and experience may be considered - Previous experience in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreements is preferred - Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, work independently, and be self-directed - Exhibit a high level of tact, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information - Possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and information management system - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and proactive problem-solving abilities - Collaborative team player who excels in a fast-paced, changing environment - Capable of communicating complex information to diverse audiences verbally and in writing Please note that only complete applications (including a cover letter and resume) sent to apply@coastmountaincollege.ca with competition #25.080B will be considered.
