Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced HR Manager Operations with a core focus on Payroll and Statutory Compliance for a reputed Gems & Jewellery company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processing, ensuring 100% compliance with labor laws applicable to the manufacturing and retail jewelry sector, and supporting HR operational functions across factory and showroom setups.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

Handle end-to-end payroll processing for factory, retail, and corporate staff.

Manage variable pay, incentives, overtime, PF/ESIC, bonuses, and deductions.

Ensure accurate salary disbursements and statutory deductions in alignment with industry-specific norms.

Coordinate with Finance and Accounts team for payroll audits and reconciliations.

Handle full & final settlements for resigned/retired employees.

Compliance & Statutory Obligations:

Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, etc.)

Maintain and update statutory records, registers, and returns.

Handle factory compliances and coordinate with consultants for government audits or inspections.

Stay up-to-date with legal and statutory changes affecting the gems and jewellery sector.

HR Operations:

Maintain employee master data in HRIS and physical files.

Oversee onboarding, documentation, and exit formalities.

Draft and implement HR SOPs, especially for workers and artisans.

Ensure proper leave, attendance, and overtime tracking mechanisms.

Factory & Retail Unit Support:

Coordinate HR processes across manufacturing units, retail showrooms, and corporate office.

Address worker grievances and ensure statutory welfare measures are implemented.

Support workforce planning and compliance in seasonal labor setups.

Reporting & Audits:

Prepare payroll MIS, compliance reports, and audit documentation.

Respond to internal and external audit queries efficiently.
