Payroll Manager

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complete payroll processing using payroll software/systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Verify and reconcile payroll inputs such as salary revisions, bonuses, allowances, deductions, and incentives.
• Oversee time & attendance systems, ensuring accurate tracking of leaves, overtime, and absences.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Income Tax (IT).
• Stay updated with minimum wage laws and implement compliant, flexible pay structures.
• Maintain accurate employee records including attendance, leave balances, and benefits data.
• Address and resolve employee payroll queries promptly.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance for payroll data integration and reporting.
• Prepare payroll-related MIS and management reports.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Masters degree in Business Administration.
• 5 - 8 years of proven payroll experience, preferably in a large organization.
• Strong knowledge of Indian payroll laws, statutory compliance, and wage regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, ADP, Paychex) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential data.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Hindi - Speaking is an added advantage
