JD of Assistant/ Manager- payroll & compliance (male candidate only)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented HR professional to manage the end-to-
end employee life cycle, payroll operations, statutory compliance, and HR audits. The role
requires a strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and regulatory frameworks,
ensuring smooth execution and adherence across all functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Life Cycle Management:
Manage the complete employee life cycle from on boarding to exit (hiring, induction,
transfers, confirmations, separations, and retirements).
Ensure all HR processes and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Oversee exit management, conduct exit interviews, and ensure smooth clearance and
full & final settlements.
2. Payroll Management:
Handle end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate salary
disbursement.
Manage attendance, leave, reimbursement, income tax declarations, and variable pay
components.
Coordinate with Finance for payroll reconciliation and statutory payments.
Ensure all pay-outs, benefits, and settlements are processed within defined timelines.
3. Statutory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances including PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Gratuity,
LWF, and other applicable labour laws.
Prepare and file all monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
Coordinate with auditors (internal & statutory) and government authorities during
audits and inspections.
4. HR Policies & Practices:
Maintain and update HR policies in line with company SOPs and legal requirements.
Introduce best HR and compliance practices across the organization.
Support implementation of HR initiatives and process improvements.
5. Systems Implementation & HRIS Management:
Manage HRIS/Payroll tools to ensure seamless operations across HR functions.
Implement and optimize tools for attendance, leave, payroll, and FBP/income tax
submissions.
Generate and maintain MIS reports for management review.
6. Performance & Reward Management:
Support the annual performance appraisal process in coordination with department
heads.
Prepare data for salary revisions, promotions, and incentive calculations.
Update employee records and payroll database with revised compensation details.
7. Vendor Management:
Manage vendor relationships for outsourced payroll, compliance partners, and off-roll
employee services.
Ensure timely verification, compliance adherence, and payments.
Key Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliances.
Sound Exposure in Advance Excel.
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll management systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Educational Qualification:
MBA/PGDM .
Certification in Payroll/Statutory Compliance will be an added advantage.
