Payment Technical Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance payment systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor teams, and provide guidance on best practices.
• Ensure robust security and adherence to PCI-DSS and other compliance frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:

  12+ years in software engineering and architecture, with at least 5+ years in the

  payments domain

  .

• Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of

  payment processing systems

  , transaction flows, and settlement mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with

  Java/.NET

  ,

  microservices

  ,

  REST APIs

  ,

  Kafka

  ,

  Kubernetes

  , and

  cloud platforms

  (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with

  security protocols

  (OAuth2, JWT, TLS) and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS).

• Domain Knowledge:

• Exposure to

  card networks

  (Visa, Mastercard),

  UPI

  , wallets, and payment gateways.
• Understanding of

  fraud detection

  , risk management, and reconciliation processes.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
