Pastry Chef

We are an exciting new seafood and cocktail lounge located in Panaji, Goa, blending Goan and Portuguese culinary traditions with a unique Fado jazz lounge ambiance. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Pastry Commis to join our kitchen team and assist in creating delightful desserts that complement our seafood-focused menu. As a Pastry Commis, you will assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to restaurant standards. This includes following recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and high quality in every dish. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients for baking, measuring and mixing ingredients, and monitoring baking times. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety regulations. Working collaboratively with the kitchen team, you will assist the Pastry Chef in creating new and innovative dessert offerings. Additionally, you will ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies, and help with stock management for the pastry section. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience as a Pastry Commis or in a similar role in a professional kitchen. Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation is preferred. A passion for desserts and attention to detail in presentation are key qualities. You should have the ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of senior chefs, along with good time management and organizational skills. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and grow in the kitchen are also important attributes.
