Job Description

We are seafood restaurant in the vibrant Fontainhas district of Panaji, blending Goan and Portuguese culinary traditions. Our restaurant focuses on delivering an unforgettable dining experience with fresh, locally sourced seafood, exceptional service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards in food quality, service, hygiene, and ambiance.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver impeccable guest service aligned with five-star standards.
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and operating expenses, to ensure profitability.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Prepare operational reports and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Drive marketing initiatives and promotion of our Restaurant to attract Customers.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management from a recognized institute, preferably from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) or an equivalent internationally recognized hospitality school.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in restaurant operations within a five-star hotel environment, with a strong focus on European/Portuguese cuisine.
  • Fluency in English – both spoken and written – with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, guest experience strategies, and food safety regulations.
  • Proficient in restaurant management systems (POS, inventory, reservations, staffing tools).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced, high-demand setting.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
