Job Description

Job Purpose In this role, the incumbent will be overseeing the finance of real estate across various projects. The incumbent will play a crucial role in investor reporting, raising finance, ensuring the efficient deployment of capital and managing financial risk throughout the company. Principanl Accountabilities Financial Reporting to investors Raising finance through banks, including negotiating terms, pricing, and conditions with financial institutions and lenders. Risk Management: Evaluate project feasibility and financial viability through detailed financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment. Implement strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks associated with Real Estate. Financial Oversight: Monitor projects, project budgets, and cash flows, ensure compliance with approved financing terms and regulatory requirements. Provide on-going financial oversight and reporting to stakeholders. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with financial partners, lenders, and investors. Serve as the primary point of contact for financing inquiries and manage due diligence processes. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, developers, and construction teams to ensure alignment of financing activities with project timelines and milestones. Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving to address financing-related issues. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards related to construction lending. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in Real Estate management. Implement best practices and financial controls to optimize performance and mitigate risks. Education & Experience B.Com (Hons) / CA / MBA with a Finance major. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in construction lending, project finance or commercial real estate finance. Strong understanding of real estate, financial modelling and risk management principles. Proven track record in negotiating complex financing transactions and managing large scale projects. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in real estate Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively departments and with external stakeholders.
