Job SummaryThe Packaging Lead at Cyient Ltd will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the packaging process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules and safety standards. This role involves leading a team, optimizing packaging operations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of packaging solutions.---Job Responsibilities* Lead, train, and supervise a team of packaging associates, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.* Plan, organize, and monitor daily packaging operations to meet production targets and deadlines.* Ensure all packaging activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and quality control standards.* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to packaging equipment, materials, and processes.* Implement and maintain inventory control for packaging materials, including ordering and tracking supplies.* Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to optimize packaging designs and processes.* Conduct regular inspections of packaged products to ensure accuracy, integrity, and presentation.* Identify and recommend improvements in packaging methods, equipment, and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.* Prepare and maintain detailed records of packaging activities, production output, and quality metrics.* Operate and perform minor maintenance on packaging machinery as required.---Job Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.* Minimum of 8 years of experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.* Strong understanding of packaging processes, materials, and equipment.* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.* Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations in a production setting.* Proficiency in using inventory management systems and production tracking software.* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.* Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
