Job Title: New Packaging Development (NPD) – Testing Executive Department: Packaging Development / R&D Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh Company: Kimirica Hunter International Job Summary: The NPD Testing Executive will be responsible for evaluating and validating new packaging components and materials to ensure they meet product compatibility, performance, regulatory, and quality standards. This role will support the packaging development team in executing test protocols and documenting results for successful commercialization of new product launches. Key Responsibilities: Conduct packaging performance tests including drop test, compression test, torque test, leakage test, stack load test, and transportation simulation. Perform compatibility and stability testing of primary and secondary packaging with liquid products. Evaluate packaging materials (bottles, pumps, caps, tubes, labels, etc.) for physical, chemical, and functional properties. Coordinate with suppliers to obtain technical specifications and samples for evaluation. Prepare and maintain packaging testing documentation including protocols, test reports, and validation documents. Support NPD packaging trials on pilot and production lines, ensuring packaging feasibility during filling and packing operations. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Production, and Procurement teams for technical evaluation and approval of new packaging materials. Identify and report packaging defects or issues and recommend corrective actions. Ensure all packaging materials comply with internal quality guidelines and regulatory standards. Maintain lab instruments, testing equipment, and ensure calibration and proper working condition. Qualifications: B.Sc./B.Tech in Packaging Technology / Polymer Science / Chemistry / Engineering or related discipline. 1–3 years of experience in packaging development/testing in FMCG, cosmetics, or personal care industry. Familiarity with packaging testing standards (ASTM, IS, etc.) and equipment. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and report preparation. Preferred Skills: Experience in handling primary packaging for liquid personal care or cosmetic products. Knowledge of sustainable and innovative packaging materials. Exposure to ERP systems for packaging specifications and approvals.
