The Outbound Sales Associate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by reaching out to potential customers through outbound calls and other communication channels. This role is crucial in driving sales growth, building client relationships, and supporting the company’s revenue objectives.
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
∙ Research, identify, and qualify potential leads from assigned databases, directories, and online platforms.
∙ Maintain and update lead lists to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
∙ Use tools such as CRM, Google Maps, LinkedIn, and industry databases to build targeted prospect lists.
∙ Initiate outbound cold calls, follow-up calls, and emails to generate interest.
2. Telemarketing & Outreach
∙ Make a targeted number of outbound calls daily to potential customers.
∙ Present company products/services clearly and persuasively to decision-makers. ∙ Deliver customized sales pitches tailored to customer needs.
∙ Record call outcomes, maintain follow-up schedules, and track prospect engagement. ∙ Ensure all calls comply with telemarketing and data protection regulations.
3. Appointment Setting
∙ Secure qualified appointments/meetings for the field sales or technical team. ∙ Confirm schedules, share meeting details with both customer and internal teams. ∙ Follow up with prospects to reduce no-shows and increase conversion rates. ∙ Track daily/weekly appointment targets and report on success rates.
4. Sales Conversion Support
∙ Nurture leads through consistent follow-ups until they are sales-ready.
∙ Provide product/service information to address objections and increase conversions. ∙ Collaborate with sales executives to support closing deals.
∙ Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales KPIs (calls made, leads qualified, appointments booked, deals converted).
5. Customer Relationship Management
∙ Build rapport with prospects to establish trust and long-term relationships. ∙ Enter and maintain accurate customer information in CRM/lead management systems. ∙ Provide feedback to management on customer needs, objections, and competitor activity.
∙ Assist with post-sales customer check-ins to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
6. Reporting & Documentation
∙ Maintain detailed records of calls, interactions, and sales progress in CRM systems. ∙ Provide daily/weekly reports on call activity, lead generation, appointments, and conversions.
∙ Track individual performance against targets and KPIs.
7. Continuous Improvement
∙ Stay updated with product/service knowledge to effectively handle queries. ∙ Participate in regular training sessions on sales techniques, objection handling, and communication skills.
∙ Share feedback and insights to improve scripts, sales pitches, and campaigns. ∙ Adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes introduced for efficiency.
8. Team Collaboration
∙ Work closely with sales managers, marketing teams, and customer support to align goals.
∙ Share best practices and contribute to achieving overall team targets.
∙ Support special campaigns, seasonal promotions, or new product launches.
Qualifications & Skills
∙ Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in sales/telemarketing. ∙ Proven experience in outbound calling, telemarketing, or sales (B2B or B2C). ∙ Strong communication and persuasion skills.
∙ Ability to handle rejections professionally and remain motivated.
∙ Good knowledge of CRM tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
∙ Target-driven with a strong desire to achieve and exceed KPIs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
