Operations Coordinater - Plant

Purpose/Objective

To ensure Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Stabilization of PVC & VCM plants within defined schedule, cost, quality parameters and safety To lead multi units operations team and manage safe & timely commissioning of the plants.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Lead Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Stabilization of PVC & VCM plants and drive operation activities of the section to achieve operation excellence. Develop operational strategies to achieve production targets. Ensure safe and accident free working environment, Ensure ZERO accident. Coordination with stakeholders including maintenance, other engineering disciplines, Techno commerical, Licensor, etc Training & Development of Operation Team to develop their competencies and Sucession plan. Apprise the management w.r.t issues, risks, bottlenecks and provide forward path to overcome limitations and mitigate risks. To assist in create, maintain and continuously improve the operational team competencies for plant areas to achieve the objectives. Accountable for Annual Plan & Budget of CAPEX and OPEX of the section. Responsible for Process Safety Management elements and procedures w.r.t. operation. Achieve production plan by ensuring asset reliability and operational flexibility. Continual improvement and cost optimization by introducing latest innovation and technology. Achieve targeted short and long term production targets with quality specification. Maximize profitability through effective utilization of Feedstock, Chemicals, Catalyst etc. Ensure compliance to statutory requirements. Benchmark the existing processes and ensure state of the art systems are implemented to be among the top quartile in the Industry.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Chemical Engineering. Experiences: 20 plus years of PVC & VCM Operation experience in Petrochemicals/Refinery/Fertilizer Industries. Proven track record in Operation, Plant Turnaround, Planning, Troubleshooting and Team Management. Should have experience in handling day-to-day plant operations including design load, trouble-shooting, emergency handling, start up and shutdown of units, optimization of utility consumption. Should have deep understanding of a Petrochemical complex. Familiarization with various statutory and Environmental norms. Strong understanding of operations, services, and applications.
