Operations and Maintenance Engineer

A Solar Operations and Maintenance (O&M) job typically involves the day-to-day management, upkeep, and repair of solar power plants to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes monitoring energy production, conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining safety standards. Key responsibilities include managing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, monitoring plant equipment, and analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and Analysis:
• Regularly monitoring solar energy production using various tools and software.
• Analyzing performance data to identify deviations from expected output and potential issues like shading or equipment malfunctions.
• Conducting site visits to inspect panels, inverters, and wiring.
• Maintenance and Repair:
• Performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on solar PV systems and associated equipment, including inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and software components.
• Responding to and resolving consumer complaints.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensuring all O&M activities are carried out in accordance with safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Adhering to local, state, and federal codes for installation and maintenance.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Preparing daily and monthly generation reports and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintaining records of maintenance activities and performance data.
• Providing timely written reports on field operations, status, and feedback.
• Other:
• Identifying and maintaining critical spare parts.
• Introducing new technologies to improve site generation and cost reduction.
• Root cause analysis for fault identification and implementation of countermeasures.
• Train technicians on maintenance best practices and safety procedures.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
