L2 OpenShift Administrator responsible for daily operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of on-prem Red Hat OpenShift 4.x clusters in a 24×7 shift environment.
• Perform daily health checks of OpenShift nodes, pods, etcd, ingress, and cluster operators.
• Troubleshoot pod failures, deployment issues, node problems, and networking/ingress errors.
• Handle cluster patching, upgrades, certificate updates, and configuration changes.
• Support application teams with onboarding, namespaces, RBAC, secrets, and Helm deployments.
• Monitor performance, capacity, alerts, and ensure platform security/compliance.
• Take over incidents escalated from L1 and coordinate with L3/OEM for deeper issues.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and shift handover notes.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience with OpenShift 4.x (on-prem).
• Strong Kubernetes fundamentals—pods, services, ingress, storage, networking.
• Good RHEL/Linux administration skills.
• Basic experience with YAML, Helm, CI/CD, Ansible/Terraform (preferred).
• Knowledge of RBAC, SCC, secrets, TLS/SSL certs, and authentication (LDAP/Kerberos).
