Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Officer to be the operational engine for our flagship internship program in Gujarat. This is a field-oriented role critical for ensuring the program's effective rollout, expansion, and day-to-day management. You will be the key link between schools, employers, and the community, responsible for building robust partnerships, facilitating meaningful internship opportunities for youth, and ensuring smooth on-ground execution. Success in this role requires a blend of stakeholder management, data-driven monitoring, and a passion for creating livelihood pathways for students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Implementation & Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with District/Block-level education authorities, schools, and local representatives (ZP/MNC members, Panchayats) for effective internship program implementation.
  • Support state/district teams in monitoring progress and providing handholding support to school-level stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the internship program at various forums to strengthen institutional buy-in.
  • Employer Partnership & Engagement:
  • Proactively identify, onboard, and build lasting relationships with employers to expand internship opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for employers, ensuring their ongoing engagement and addressing their needs.
  • Strengthen existing partnerships and work to convert new leads into committed program partners.
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Grievance Redressal:
  • Ensure systematic monitoring of school and student-level outcomes and progress.
  • Maintain accurate program data, key contact lists, case studies, and prepare regular district/block-level progress reports.
  • Act as a point of contact to address and resolve grievances from various stakeholders (schools, students, employers).
  • Collaboration & Support:
  • Work collaboratively with Academic Resource Persons at the block level to support career guidance and student engagement activities.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 2+ years of overall work experience, with at least 1+ year in Education, Skill Development, Counseling, Governance, Employment, Livelihood, or related sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Gujarati, Hindi and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake significant field travel within Gujarat.

Desirable

  • Post-graduate certification/diploma in social/rural development, skill development, or education.
  • Prior fellowship or entrepreneurial experience.
  • Direct experience working with government systems at the district level or above.
