Description
Role: Node.js Lead Developer Location: Pune (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time Employment About Hubnex Labs Hubnex Labs is a product-first software development and consulting company focused on building scalable digital solutions for fast-growing startups and enterprises. We are on the lookout for a Node.js Lead Developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can lead backend development initiatives for high-performance web applications. Key Responsibilities Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure backend systems using Node.js and related technologies. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers; provide code reviews, architectural guidance, and technical support. System Integration: Integrate front-end components with server-side logic and external APIs. Database Architecture: Work with both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, ensuring optimal design and performance. Performance Optimization: Design low-latency, high-availability systems with robust error handling and logging. Security Compliance: Implement authentication (JWT, OAuth) and ensure security best practices are followed across the stack. DevOps Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps for deployments, version control (Git), CI/CD, and monitoring. Agile Participation: Contribute to sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and overall agile best practices. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role. Expertise in Node.js with hands-on experience in Express.js and/or Hapi.js. Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous programming, and modular coding practices. Proficient in MySQL and MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization. Experience with RESTful APIs, version control systems (Git), and CI/CD tools. Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Angular or React is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building clean, efficient code. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
