Job Description As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of our applications. Responsibilities You will work closely with DevOps, front-end engineers, and product managers to deliver cloud-native applications on AWS and manage relational databases with optimized SQL Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. Write efficient, reusable, and secure JavaScript code (ES6+) on both server-side and client-side (if full stack). Work with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, and CloudWatch. Build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and schema designs (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL). Optimize database queries for performance and reliability. Implement serverless functions and microservices architectures on AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system integration. Ensure application security, scalability, and performance. Integrate third-party APIs and data sources. Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply fixes. Automate deployments and workflows using CI/CD pipelines. Document technical specifications, systems design, and process Technical Skills : Languages & Frameworks : Strong in JavaScript (ES6+) Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, or similar frameworks Familiarity with TypeScript is a & DevOps (AWS) : AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, EC2, CloudFormation or Terraform IAM roles and security policies CloudWatch for logging and monitoring Experience in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS & Data Handling : Proficient in SQL writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and views Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server Familiarity with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB) is a plus API Development & Integration RESTful API design and implementation Familiarity with GraphQL is a bonus OAuth2, JWT, and API key-based authentication & Code Quality : Unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai Knowledge of Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI Control & Tools : Git, Agile/Scrum development Qualifications : Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus. Strong analytical and debugging skills. Excellent written and verbal communication.
