Node.js Developer

with strong expertise in

PostgreSQL

to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure web applications using

Node.js

for the backend and

PostgreSQL

as the primary database. If you have a passion for building high-performance web applications and have a deep understanding of both backend development and database management, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop efficient, scalable, and high-performance backend services using Node.js.
Build RESTful APIs and integrate with various third-party services.
Optimize database queries and ensure the efficient use of PostgreSQL for large-scale data operations.
Write and maintain clean, well-documented, and reusable code.
Implement best practices in software development and coding standards.
Work closely with frontend developers to integrate with user-facing elements.
Monitor and maintain application performance, ensuring low latency and high availability.
Develop database schemas, manage migrations, and ensure data integrity within PostgreSQL.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the backend or database performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure timely project delivery.
Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to continually improve team performance.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in backend development with Node.js and related frameworks (Express.js, Koa.js, etc.).
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and management.
Solid understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Experience with API design (RESTful services, WebSockets).
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Experience working with authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
Ability to write efficient and scalable code, leveraging asynchronous programming paradigms (callbacks, promises, async/await).
Knowledge of Docker and containerization is a plus.
Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and using testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with GraphQL or other modern API architectures.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Knowledge of other databases (NoSQL, MongoDB) is a plus.
Experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+), including TypeScript, is highly desirable.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js and PostgreSQL.
